PEACH BLOSSOMS Riso Print
A four color risograph print using the CMYK printing method, but with federal blue, neon pink, yellow and black. This print is a redo of the original PEACH BLOSSOMS screenprint that was part of the detour series, where I translated photos of moments from my daily walks into CMYK screenprints. This time period was particularly isolating, while being socially distanced during covid / grad school / living in a small town / being in a toxic relationship. I incorporated memphis design style doodles to assert visual elements that bring me joy and a sense of identity and style (big nod to 80’s music and aesthetic here.) This particular print was my favorite from this series so I felt the urge to recreate it. Also, lets be real, peaches are so gay. 🌈 🍑🌈
Print measures 11” x 14” and is printed on white cardstock. Printed in August 2022 at Lavender Estero in Pittsburgh, PA.
